This talisman, the Eye ~ this is the reason the Witches have come so far into Sansward.
The Eye can magnify power ~ and that’s the obvious reason the Witches want its restoration to them.
Yet the Eye can do more. It can free sorcerers trapped in stone, and many of the more dangerous witches were imprisoned in rock rather than exiled. Their return will leave the Sansward allies with no defense against the Gitane.
Yet the Eye has one more benefit. It can remove curses.
At the end of the Great War, the formidable fighting warriors of Prica were transformed through sorcery into wolves that turned on their allies, the army of Sansward. Should the Prica resume their manhood, they will want a terrible vengeance on the Gitane Witches who imprisoned them. Time has reduced their number … even as it intensified their hate for the witches.
